What Have the so called “Moderate Muslims” Learned from the Arab Spring?
-->
The first step for fixing a problem is admitting that it exists,
not brushing it under the rug, or blaming all the ridiculous actions on “the other sects” of the same
religion that you claim to follow. If you chose to remain silent,
you will be shunned and ridiculed by the rest of the civilized world... Make no
mistake about it.
I hope those who refer to themselves as moderate Muslims have
learned the following lesson after the Arab Spring:
You can't IGNORE your problems... You can't IGNORE your
fanatics; you can't be in DENIAL that they exist. If you are doing NOTHING
against fanaticism you are NOT being NEUTRAL, you are actually in compliance.
If
you don’t accept some form of Islamic reform, and accept responsibility, fanaticism
will take over. Not only do you have to accept reform, you have to DEMAND IT.
