Do u have any idea what this man and his government has done to us the arabs and to the armenian people over the years ??? this man was the leader of armies that fought us in Allepo and Naples ...

If you read the post, i wrote: I support the demonstrations in Istanbul.
I support what the man did for HIS country.
So, i support the Turkish people that want a secualr govt.
It's not about him personally.
And he is brilliant, it doesn't mean he was a GOOD MAN. Hitler was brilliant too.

i get your point ... but the post doesnt say what you commented ...

I don't think Sharon is brilliant. He did nothing for his people... and he's horrible to look at ;)
(the same applies to Arafat)

Ya the post doesn't have a detailed explanation, but thats ok, cause you posted a comment, and i replied... and now it's a little clearer :)

Sharon did nothing for his people ??? Just compare where Isreal was before his comma and now ... you will find out

Ethics aside ... I think Sharon is a brilliant leader with an amazing mind ... every bad thing that happened to arabs since 1973 is because of him ...

still i hate his guts ...

Well, i always thought that the incompetence of the Arabs is what makes the Israelis look good. The lack of leadership on the part of the Palestinians & the Arab world is what makes Israel strong. I always felt it's not Israel that is strong, it's just the Arabs that are weak. So maybe Sharon was in the right place at the right time. It could be a combination of both, that and his "brilliance".
Some say Hafez Asad was "brilliant", i think most of it is propaganda. It's not that hard to rule with tyranny.
I guess my definition of a brilliant leader is someone who works to advance his own people, and has a vision of the future. A vision to empower his country and set it on the right track, so it will be able to overcome the challenges of what lays ahead.
