I am reminded of a comment by a Jesuit priest who was very active in anti-communism in eastern Europe.
He considered that Communism's main weakness was that they promised paradise on earth, while the Church promised it in the afterlife. Communism could not deliver, but the Church could.
Or at least, it could not be demonstrated that it did not. Hezb's strength is in such a belief, but he takes to the extreme of rejecting this life to ensure the afterlife. Too bad such a lousy cause is served by so many talented people...
